Bokaro Pvt. ITI with Bokaro Steel Plant as Industry Partner
Bokaro Steel City has emerged as an educational hub in the field of school education. A large number of students are attracted to study in the schools of Bokaro Steel City due to its strong scholastic atmosphere. The performance of students from these schools has been outstanding at various levels—IITs, IIMs, CBSE, medical entrance examinations, and more—every year.
Students from Bokaro have even topped the IIT entrance examinations and have won gold medals for the nation at the International Mathematics Olympiad. However, there is limited scope for higher education in this steel city, as well as in the state of Jharkhand. As a result, most students are compelled to migrate to other states for higher education.
Against this backdrop, the idea of promoting professional education was conceived. After extensive deliberations, a trust named Bokaro Ispat Educational Trust was formed, with the ED (P & A), SAIL / BSL, serving as the Chief Trustee in his ex-officio capacity.
